In PA the kiosks have bet slip scanners. The ones around me stopped doing anything at the manned counter except redeem cash vouchers or call a manager when you need a claim form.

I don't use the vending machines. Never have never will. I prefer play slips. No errors.

I think they do it so someone doesn't buy the next ticket in case they want it, after losing. A vested interest perhaps...

sometimes it has more to do with poor store layout. it's not necessarily the shoppers' fault if the store management puts the kiosk in a place where people need to walk.

Brock Lee, isn't it ironic that non players meet in front of lotto machines and block players access to them. Then of course there are those who buy a scratcher or two and use the front of the machine to scratch them on. Having put money in the machine they feel like they own it.

i won't buy tickets at stores where the vibe is off. for example, i never buy them at a particular gas station where the counter employees are rude and slow even though i get gas there. and i don't buy them at a nearby grocery store that has a lotto vending machine because the machine is in a dumb spot where people are liable to bump into you. i don't do any weird superstitious rituals.

Regardless of the specific game do do do anything to prevent a whammy? whammy: a bad spell, jinx or sudden run of bad luck.
