And not getting scammed has little to do with confidence in yourself. It has far more to do with verifying independently anything you are told. If you get a call telling you that you won a jp, ask for the name of the lottery and look up the phone number and call them. If you get a call saying someone opened a bank account in your name, call the main number to verify. anyone can be scammed in the lottery

which is why it's up to us to educate people on how not to get scammed

if I were to inform someone on how not to get scammed ,I would say have confidence in yourself that you are able to see a scammer from a mile away and either avoid them or not have associations with them

Although it has not been reported of a blind person winning the jackpot, but it's always good to bring it up so that people are aware of how to handle it ,instead of having it as hind sight

We have enough hindsight to let us know that a forethought is better

give a man a fish, he eats for a day. teach a man to fish...

instead of telling your friend whether his numbers match, show him how to use his state's lottery app and text to speech app to check his tickets himself. also show him how to use ai and his phone's camera to confirm. and if he can't get it to work, help him call the lottery customer service number. and if they won't help him, teach him how to threaten to call the local news station.
