RJOh, you have some good points. The 1:450 or so chance of winning a prize as small as FIVE DOLLARS is ridiculous. (Don't ask me why the new 6/49 Michigan Millions also has this token $5 prize.) One other major fault with the Ohio Lotto game is this Kicker - it's not just Quick Pick-only , but, you MUST play the unrelated Lotto in order to play Kicker. If you want to win $100K in Ohio, you should try Buckeye 5. But, the biggest beef I have with your 6/49 is the different way of computing cas... [ More ]

If Ohio becomes a Powerball state,Indiana and Kentucky will lose a lot of customers from Ohio. So I don't look for that to happen. But I agree, with the Powerball and the Biggame having a 1 in 35 chances of getting a prize and Ohio's 1 in 450 chances of getting a prize, something has to change or people are going to continue to lose interest.

The Ohio Lottery is seriously considering offering a multi-state game. Let's hope so-the Ohio (Stupid?) Lotto gives players almost a Hobson's choice -30 annual payments, or, a cash option which cheats lump-sum winners out of their full winnings, since Ohio uses a different percentage rate for cash and annuity winners. (See the Ohio Lottery website.) Presumably, if Ohio joins Big Game, Powerball, or a proposed joint game with Pennsylvania, winners choosing cash within Ohio would get the same cas... [ More ]
