According to the articles I've read,the guy has been married for seven years, so there is no exwife and probaly not any old girl friend. When I buy tickets at the local store and the prize is large and I know the clerks, they alway say good luck and don't forget me if you win. I don't look at that as a binding contract, but I have heard of people going to court claiming the winner said he would share if he ever won big.

Now...that is something that I can buy into...some relationship that he had with somebody else that he was trying to keep them from getting apiece of the action....like waiting for a divorce to be completed and then claiming the money after the final papers were finalized...Actually..Thanks..I feel much better now...He knew he was a winner the whole time...That other extraneous stuff was just garbage

I never thought that any thing was wrong with the way the state lottery commission handle the ticket. I thought that maybe an exfriend, exwife or a relative would come forward and say the guy waited so long to claim the prize to keep them from getting their share of the winning. It wouldn't a first.

I don't think its just Ga. pick three, I work a very successful system for pick three that includes math and astrology, and right now for the past 4 or 5 weeks there has been some very strange results coming up, so I don't think it is the system that your using. I understand your feeling on cash-3....In order for me to win..I have to take all the lottery experts on monday morning..combine them..and then..I can come up with a set of about 10 numbers that have to be played every mid-day and every evening drawings..It takes a considerale amount of time...John at maybells has set it up so that using that site cuts down on doing some of the manual calculations..but still...there is a considerable amount of time to complete the whole process...If I dont get i... While much of your story is true, it is a fact that the ticket can ONLY be claimed at lottery headquarters. A signed ticket is a bearer document. If the ticket was lost in the mail, then the prize would have been lost. Validating the ticket at the store is not the same thing.However, I do agree with the general idea of your post that there was no wrong-doing.-Todd

Hey Row Todd, Yeah this whole scenario has a strange flavor to it...but ya know I believe this fellow had somebody watching out for him...I for one am very happy that anyone won so as not to forfeit the millions back to the states. Row,You know what gets me? It's not the strange happenings as much as it is the lack of communication on the lottery's part. Maybe if they took a more active and communicative role with their customers there wouldn't be all the grumblings. I agree that the bottom line is that he got the money....who am I to comment...However...I dont believe that story...Somebody knows the real story...I have never heard anything anywhere mailing a ticket just as long as the date on the envelope is prior to the expiration date...This is the kind of thing that makes lotteries lose their integrity.....His wife knew that the ticket was a winner and told him that he had better find it...Then he goes to work...I need to let it go...but it is bugging me... It's a pretty strange story, but here's how I understand it:The guy put the ticket in his pocket after finding it in the drawer, he then went to work. At that point he didn't know it was a winner because he hadn't checked the numbers. If he had any sense he would have gone to BigGameLottery.com in the morning before going to work. ;-)Anyway, he takes the ticket with him and later realizes that he still hadn't checked the numbers.
