illinois currently has the extra option. i have won $50 instantly and a few $3 prizes but do not play extra regularly.jd

If you think about this logically, it is a stroke of brilliance on the part of the state's lottery planning execs. People will always go for that extra shot. Only drawback is maybe it takes away from scratch off play, but I doubt it! I play NJ (always) and NY (sometimes) would certainly put down the dollar for a chance. I never would play a dollar scratch off, but this is enticing. My 2 cents... Alan
