I read about it all the time people playing the same numbers or buying quick-picks that have been playing the Lottery in Florida for 5-10 yrs,so it might be just in your state but our States Lottery website posts winners comments on how they won and how long they've been playing most are regular players since the game started every now and then I'll read about a first time player that won

You think most lottery software programs can pick a jackpot combination if you choose the right settings? I think very few can even working backwards, maybe once a year. At the very least, you certainly should test your lottery software before putting cash on its picks.

Think about it from an advertising point of view: The lottery people don't have to persuade people who play the lottery on a regular basis to buy a ticket; those people will play regardless. It's the people who seldom or never play that are targeted: Come on , the advertising says, this guy here bought a ticket just the once and hit the jackpot. It could happen to you! It's not the first time nor will it be the last time that a first time player hits the jackpot. That's why the odds are as high as they are, makes anybody a possible winner. I always think people who get upset over such a triviality are more than a little jealous.

That Quick Pick program the lottery terminal have much be pretty good because it picks a lot of winners and nobody trying to sell it. If you set the perimeters right most any of these software programs can pick a past winner, the trick is to pick a future winner.RJOh

That's kind of like saying you bought a fancy set of tools at Sears and can't fix your car. I doubt you were able to use that fancy lottery software at anything better than the default settings. The question you need to ask is whether it could have won if you had used it right, or the draw before that or the draws before that. That is so true. Its all about luck, hell i downloaded a fancy lotto software that is suppose to help you beat the odds. But the truth is you can't. You have to be lucky pick some numbers and maybe you'll hit. Because people who don't think about the game win more than the people who use their brains.

I don't believe there's a system for winning either and I don't think that there are people who deserve to win and don't deserve to win. It's all luck. I just get annoyed when the media seems to always tell us that the people who win are either first time players or people who just HAPPEN to have a lottery ticket. I never read stories about the guy who's been playing religiously for 10 years or something. It's always these home runs right out of the box. It makes for good advertising.... [ More ]

It proves all this talk about systems,lucky numbers and predictions are just good talk. It interesting but it's just a lot of B.S. Just pick a few numbers to be in the game and if your are lucky and beat the odds you will win something. Any body can win but most will lose and losers will think that the winners didn't deserve to win. RJOh

I don't know about you, but I HATE it when I read about lottery winners who say golly gee, this was the first time I ever played or I just went in to buy a hot dog and a Coke and thought what the heck I'll play the lottery too .grrrrrrrr no way it's that easy
