The Super-6 game will be hurt by Powerball. Super-6 began in 1998 as a desperation attempt by PA to try to make a $100+ million jackpot happen for the first time since 1989 with the old Super-7 game. The most objectionable thing about Super-6 is that players CANNOT select all their numbers (three games for $1; players using bet cards can pick one set of six numbers for each dollar, with the other two plays for each dollar automatically quick-picked.) Cool! Do you think PowerBall will kill Super 6 sales? I figure I'll play both. It'll all depend on the pot differences.

First Powerball drawing after the Keystone State joins is Saturday, June 29. SPECIAL NOTE: Unlike Super-6 Lotto, players will be able to select ALL their numbers if they wish; and, players will be able to select CASH within 60 days of winning (Powerball tickets from PA will say annuity but the cash option WILL be available. Of course, neighboring New York _will not_ allow a 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS ticket to be changed to lump sum.
