Cheatah: $31 for four numbers actually is WELL ABOVE normal!! On two occasions (since 6/59 began the week of 9/11) 4-of-6 paid just $13, and more recently $15. The overall odds of winning in Mega Millions is BETTER than in NY Lotto 6/59, with the smallest prize $2.

With a $1 payout for picking 3/6 and just $31 for 4/6 I'm surprised anyone plays this game at all! This isn't a game, it's robbery! Stick to Take 5. It's the only decent NY game.6/59 means almost impossible, yet it only pays $31 for 4 numbers. Compare that to Florida's Fantasy 5 (5/36). The odds of picking a winner are much better and 4 numbers often pays over $1,000

Just before Mega Millions began, the NY Lotto 6/59 jackpot went from $18 million to $22 million. Then the jackpot was hit (May 11) for the most recent time. Last night's jackpot was 18m and not won.
