Having jackpots start at $25,000,000. Having the odds at no more then 100,000,000 to 1. One roll over would add another $25,000,000. Ahhh....and you don't have to pay federal or state taxes. Opps. That part will never happen. All 50 states joining a single lottery? Nope. I don't see it happening for years. But I do see the possibility of an actual legal multi-nation lottery being set up for such causes as AIDS, breast cancer, or feeding a starving nation who's dictator keeps steal every dime of... Well there are currently 12 states that don't have lotteries although NC, AL, and TN are considering adding them. Of the 39 jurisdictions that do have lotteries, 32 currently participate in Powerball or Mega Millions with SC and WA to be added in the fall respectively. That brings the total to 34 of 39. lets combine the powerball and mega millions sign up our 50 states, make the odds 1:250,000,000 with second tier prize of $350,000, include a powerplay option, and lets see jackpots rise to $1 Billion or $333,000,000 after cash option and taxes or you can take $1 Billion in 25 installments of $40 MILLION before taxes
