I don't think it's too far fetched to believe that sometime in the future (maybe 20 years from now) MUSL (Powerball) and Mega Millions will merge and we'll have a National Lottery . With jackpots of $1 Billion being the norm.

Yes. What I really meant to say is for California, for example, to offer MegaMillions, Powerball, Lotto South, and whatever at the same time. But appearently there are turf wars between states and multi-state lotteries. It would be nice to see MegaMillions, Powerball, and whatever each being played in 30+ states at the same time.
