in that passage jesus was NOT saying that a rich man could not go to heaven (they can). what he was referring to is that it is hard for rich people to not make money their god. for most (not all) rich people, money is their god because they are un-willing to give it up for anything, including god.......visiondude (i don't know what thomas covenant mean't when he quoted it to the rock, but that is what that scripture means
