I think I'll try it your way for Friday's drawing. When I buy the numbers all on one ticket, the quick pick numbers can sometimes have really weird combinations. (One glance and I go, ugh!) I liked the sample combinations you gave, similar but with a little variety. Thanks

Thanks. I'll really consider the lump sum option. I guess if a person wins that amount of money, the least they can do is spend the necessary time and effort into making wise investments rather than letting the state do it. (Illinois is not one for spending money wisely, either.) Thanks again.

Personally, when I buy multiple tickets for a drawing I prefer to get them on seperate tickets because I've found that often the quick pick numbers come out very close to each other. For example it may be:01-10-18-30-33 PB 0204-05-10-30-32 PB 0404-11-18-44-45 PB 2603-09-12-22-42 PB 2210-11-12-41-44 PB 01I've found that if you get seperate tickets your less likely to get clusters. If you are a wheeling type player though, you may like something like I showed above.

I play in east central Illinois and western Indiana. Indiana is a bit of a drive so I wait for the jackpot to get up there. Lump sum/cash only.....hmmm....I really do not budget well, so I always thought of going the annuities route......IF I ever won. lol

In huge odds games like Powerball and Mega Millions it really doesn't matter to have them all on the same ticket. In very rare cases would you win over the tax amounts. In smaller games especially if you wheel numbers i would say try to get seperate tickets. So in big games don't worry about it I would say...that's my two cents! haha good luck to all.

When I purchase a $5 ticket for MegaMillions, Powerball, or even the Lotto, a clerk often asks if I want the quick pick numbers on one ticket or separate tickets. Is it better to have each line on a separate ticket? Are there any other interesting trivia for these games, i.e. buy early or late, average amount a person spends on their ticket, quick pick or chosen numbers, etc. for those people who do win? I just find this kind of info interesting for those people who win the millions.
