The New York Lottery currently has nine scratch games where not all money prizes are paid in cash; three of the Lose for Life variety, five where the top prize is paid in 20 annual installments with NO cash option, and a scratcher where you can win a Lotto ticket that automatically says 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS . NY _does_ have a $5 game, Magic Numbers , where the $500,000 _IS_ lump sum, however.

Michigan never pays out in annuity. There are a smart lottery. You get it in lump sum unlike many other states. That is why i wrote to the Michigan lottery yesterday and told them they are a good lottery.

Bradly: I read about the game yesterday. However, my #1 question wasn't answered. How will the $2 million be paid? If it's X-annual payments with _no_ cash option, I would avoid it like the plague.

It is called $2,000,000 spectacular. I bought one tonight. I put down the $20 bill for it and was like wow that is a lot. But I ended up winning 2 $20 for $40 so it was worth it. When the Michigan Lottery offers a game with 1 in 2.25 odds you should play it:) Also all the $1,000 winners are put in a drawing for the $2,000,000. And there are over 2,000 $1,000 winners. Odds are good. You gotta play. But then again.....$20 is a lot of money to lose if you come across one of those losers.
