The PA Powerball winning ticket is the first (Super-6 abides by the pre-1998 IRS ruling) where the ticket holder(s) must decide within 60 days whether they want the LUMP SUM or, heaven forbid, 25 annual payments (30 payments on tickets winning 10/9/2002 or thereafter.) I can't fault PA if they won't disclose the store name, or the town, but they should give the COUNTY name for Powerball jackpot winners in PA, and publicize the fact that the cash/annuity choice must be made within 60 days, or els... How long have you been playing the lottery in PA?You should know by now that the PA lottery DOES NOT say where winning tickets are sold until the ticket is validated, which can sometimes take up to a few months.Furthermore, a few years back when a Super 6 jackpot of $12 Million was about to expire, they also didn't name the store where it was sold, EVEN AFTER IT EXPIRED!!! I e-mailed them about that and they said they don't disclose that kind of information unless the prize is claimed.... [ More ]
