VD,When a pool is handle the right way, everyone gets a fair share for their investment, anyone that would expect more is not the kind of friend I would want. When I play the lottery, I try to play as many combinations as possible thinking that my odds are improved with more combinations so I don't even repeat combinations of 4's on my tickets. Everbody have different ideas when it comes to picking numbers, for me having one winning ticket would work fine for me. Good luck to you.RJOh... [ More ]

RJ one of the other reasons i dislike pools is the avoidance of problems between people. i want to preserve relationships, not destroy them. because money changes people so easily, i want to avoid all that ugliness. some people function (behave) well in a pool situation after a win. alot do not. if i have control i at least have a better chance at friend preservation . i also realize the inevitable, that people are going to get jealous and when you don't give them what they want, they jam... [ More ]

VD,I have been in pools before. Before I retired, I was it a pool at work and the biggest problem wasn't trust, because we made copies of the tickets and every member had a copy. Three times we matched 5 of 6 when Ohio paid more than it does now and the problem was who would collect and pay the taxes, because unless we won the jackpot, only one person could collect the winnings. We all were working in a skilled trade and getting a lot of overtime and chances were who ever collected the money... [ More ]

RJ , you better get a written agreement ( i know you are smart enough to do that - lol). i have always played by myself. not because i am greedy but i want to be bale to control the stewardship of the money. i do have one person that i trust in calif who asked if he could buy me a ticket when the pot get's high. we made an agreement and drew it up in written form. he is one of the only people i would do this with. i have just started this new little twist in my approach. when the pot get's... [ More ]
