My #1 rule for responsible play is to make sure you NEVER put yourself in a position to receive annuity payments directly from a lottery win.

AMEN to RJOH's comment,not understanding the rules of the game played, ie., reading the rules and in particular knowing about odds plus how many states may be involved, can be a very expensive lesson. Peanut butter dinners, anyone? Teufellj

Sounds like this person learned a valuable lesson. The next time he reads that only one combination of a possible 100 million plus combinations will win the jackpot, he will believe it.RJOh

A person I know at work bought a wheeling system off the internet. He then spent over $600 on one draw for the Powerball Lottery. He still doesn't understand why he didn't win. Don't play with the rent money.
