Todd,one of my many theories in the past have been...Out of 1000 or 10000 combinations,the one with the least amount of bets wagered( 001 - 999 or 0000 - 9999 ) would be the one drawn...Then again thats just a theory. lottoscorp

Anything is better than a fluctuating ( up down ) payoff...I was tellingsome one the other day,nothing beats New York Lotto or Pennsylvania Lotto when it comes to the payoffs and the respect they show their citizens.I never did like political lotteries...they're designed to make you suffer badly. lottoscorp

No. I play in Ga. I was looking at payouts a while back and saw the payout for NJ. If Ga. was to pay pairs, it would be nice, but I wouldn't want it to go to pari-mutual.

Gilla: Assuming you LIVE in the Garden State , you probably should buy ALL your tickets in NJ, since there is no state tax on NJ lottery winnings by NJ residents. The one exception could be Powerball.

Gilla: NJ actually pays as well as NY on two-digit wins (and better on 3-/4-number boxes.) You're fooled by the fact that NJ numbers prizes are pari-mutuel, but on average you WILL get a 50% return.

Better yet, what are the payouts for pairs and str/bx and str. I know New Jersey has a about the worst payout system. Is this still true? Would like to hear from other states that pay pairs.
