cash-o-matic, gas is cheap here ($1.08 gal.), but not cheap enough. i live about 3 - 4 hrs from the south carolina border. jackpot is not big enough (yet) to warrant that far of a drive. i moved here from calif in june of 97 so i missed the powerball. i don't know exactly when it changed over, i just remember hearing people complain about it. i will be patient and wait till mega-millions gets to that 500+ in march 2003 like you said. then rebecca paul and i will do some sort of celebration dance... V-dude: Didn't Miss Rebecca make GA switch from Powerball to Big Game in 1996? You mean you can't drive to SC for Powerball? Fuel has to be much cheaper down there than in NY (I almost always buy gasoline in Danbury, CT...where I usually buy CT tickets

I think players still prefer PB over MM. I like the PowerPlay option, although by the time PB gets this high (160m), you should play only for the jackpot.

I had predicted that Mega Millions would produce a $500 million jackpot by March 2003. Powerball probably won't get there first because of the new rule adding only $25 million per rollover, which could happen by New Year's Eve.
