Only kidding about the exchange rate. The rate is $1.52 Canadian to a US $Yes the Seneca Indians opened a new casino at the old Niagara Falls convention center building on New Years eve. It's really nice, they even serve free drinks. Good competition for Casino Niagara across the river.

Correct. The Ontario lottery prizes are not subject to Canadian income taxes. So when you win $2 million you get the full amount in Canadian money. (about $20 US)But yes I would still have to pay US fed and State taxes.

As a US citizen/NY state resident, you would still have to pay state AND federal taxes. I presume you mean you would get the entire prize in LUMP SUM with no withholdings.

Yes always pick up Ontario's Lotto 6/49 and Lottario 6/45 tickets when we make a trip to Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls. Odds are much lower and the prize money is TAX FREE.Buy the way, Ontario has a lottery keno game, pick from a field of 70 numbers.

As if there aren't enough Quick Draw games in a day now. Currently 158 games are played over a course of 13 hours. Reducing the time between games to 4 minutes will increase the number of games from 158 to 197, almost a 25% increase. The only thing I don't care for with the Quick Draw game is that the odds for each of the games are not presented. Only what they call the Overall odds for each of the spot games. ie, the 10 spot game has 7 prize levels to play, pick 10 of 10, 9 of 10, 8 of 10, 7... [ More ]

I've played Keno a few times when I've been to AC but haven't spent more than $10 on it. If I'm going to a casino, I'd rather play casino games than a quickly drawn lotto game.I can see how anti-gambling people object to Keno since it is so fast paced and you can wager alot on it.Personally I think it is a suckers bet. Interesting that there's been virtually nothing mentioned about lottery keno. One of the most controversial lottery games because it's played in casinos, more US lotteries are considering offering keno games that are drawn every few minutes. Only three US lottery keno games AFAIK are drawn once daily at most; the others are the electronic kind, with up to 15 drawings per hour. NY has _both_ (Pick 10 and Quick Draw.) Any thoughts from the gallery
