Hmmmmm Article in paper today : Both sides eye a future without Davis. Possible cure for Gov Gray Davis' recall headache. Resign. Quit. Clear out your desk. Quitting now would bring the rcall effort to a screeching halt and derail Republicana' plans to hijack the governor's for Darrell Isa, Arnold Schwarzenegger,or somebody else with a more conservative bent.I say get him out. Cool. I haven't gotten that far. I do read the articles giving advice. We get a little lotto magazine each month in the stores. It always has a little article on what to do if you win. And there is a book I want to purchase. It is called, Sudden Money, by Susan Bradley. She is a certified financial planner. I figure every bit of knowledge you pick up helps. You have to figure on inflation, too.

Very well thought out.But most people have never considered what they would do if they won. You have to have a plan or you are going to lose it all in foolish spending. And heaven for bid you owe back child-support. Do they do that out there? Back taxes and child-support . They have already staked a claim befoe you get it. I would definitely do what you would do. Very sound advice. I want to make sure my children (even though they ar grown) are wel taken care of.

If I win tonight, tomorrow morning I would be on the phone looking for a good tax attorney(also I would take a trip to the bank to put the ticket in a safety deposit box) The attorney will set up the trust so I could collect the money without having my name splattered all over everywhere. I would use the attorney to set up interviews with bankers and financial advisors. After that I would pretty much follow the advice of the attorney, bankers, financial advisors. The $25 million cap goes into effect when powerball breaks the previous high record. Right now the record is at $315 million. If the jackpot rolls over tonight it might reach $340 million. That would be the new record. If the record ever reaches $400 million, I am sure that at $400 million we would get a $100 million jump the next time. Making it a $500 million dollar jackpot. That pepsi thing is still in the planning stages. The prize is a million bucks to the winner with a chance to win a billion. The odds of winning the billion will be about 1000:1. Which is like choosing the correct Pick 3 number with only one pick. Possible, but not likely.

Back when the game was 1 in about 76 million, the jackpot got up to $363 million, so it's possible to get to $500 million with the current odds.I don't Powerball will make it, though, because of the $25 million growth limiter on record jackpots.

I noticed on the powerball website that CA is a MUSL member but not a Powerball state. I'll tell you one thing. If CA were to be a powerball state, there is NO way in HELL that the Powerball jackpot would reach 500 million before 2010. Look at Mega Millions. Someone from NY wins that jackpot at least once every two months. CA has more people than any other state.
