Both games (mega millions and powerball) have a thing in their rules that if they get some kind of payout like that...the prizes become pari-mutual. I think for mega millions if the payout is 300% or higher of the money took in then they will use that rule. Hasn't happened yet....don't think it will.Brad

Jackpot games usually (if not always) have liability caps, depending on the game.

I wonder what the largest payout they could handle would be? Suppose something odd happened and 10,000 people matched 5 of 6 and had the powerplay option on the Powerball. I doubt they would have that kind of loot sitting around, or do they carry insurance for that? Probably not, I bet the plan would be to declare bankruptcy. Okay, I've gone off the deep end again.

I am not aware of any jackpot game that would sell out on combinations.

Do numbers ever sell out in any of the jackpot games? Are there any business rules that would limit the amount of times a certain number could be sold
