Cash, My last words on this subject. Obviously the people of NY are happy with the way the lottery is run since the last fiscal report showed the State made over a billion bucks. Start a lottery company,. design the games, offer them to the States starting to allow lotteries and if they accept them your in business NO Annuities. Ciao

Mega:Many of my posts have NOTHING to do with the cash/annuity issue.I've been trying to get the Super-6 game in Pennsylvania replaced because of the VERY long odds, and the fact that you CANNOT choose all your numbers.I want to see more MUSL members try the year-old Hot Lotto game.I've even posted on the Pick-3/4 forums a number of times, even though I don't play them.As for my preference of cash over annuity, I strongly believe that all lottery winners, be in NY or Florida or wherever, SHOUL... Did you read the story Todd posted this morning?He hit Lotto on a ticket that was marked 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS (state regulations _prohibit_ winners from switching to cash).If he were to die (heaven forbid), imagine his heir(s) having to pay inheritance tax on the ENTIRE prize within 10 months? The deadline for paying the estate tax would be shortly after the heir(s) receive the second payment; barely 5% of the prize would have been paid, due to the structure of NY Lotto annuities.
