Win D,My formulas might not look nice but I think these are the ways to calculate the answers.1) Return being the same as the same as a hit the expected return rate of a straight should be in PICK 3:1/10*1/10*1/10=1/1000 once every thousand draws2) 2 digit return: I assume you mean the return not in a specific location but somewhere within the number?The calculation for two DIFFERENT digits here would be6 * (1/10 * 1/10 * 8/10) + 6 * (1/10 * 1/10 * 1/10) = 0.054So the chances are 54 in 1000 or 1... I can't really answer your questions.. but I can add some interesting statistics, based on the Fundamental Formula of Gambling, which was discovered by the folks at www.saliu.com (it's currently down, but there is a link Here which is taken directly from there).The formula states that there is a 50% chance that a particular 3 digit number will fall within 692 draws.There is a 90% chance that a number will fall within 2,301 draws.
