GaryCongratulations on winning the $3000. I think that your friend is right. If you just look at the white balls, the odds of getting all of the white balls right is still 1 out of 3 million, so you are not guaranteed to get all of them right. But, if you catch all of the red balls, at least you have a shot of getting 4 white balls with the powerball and winning $5000. In my opinion, I would play Powerball, because there are less powerballs (42) than mega balls (52). I think that Hypersoniq... [ More ]

Gary:Philosophically, you are on the right track. Either play one dollar or $25,000, but nothing inbetween. It is the five and 10-dollars players to are the lotto's bread and butter. I suggest concentrating on winning the Pick 5 part of the game and using quick picks for the powerballs. Don't know if that is even possible, it is in Texas. I'll find out dventually. Powerball is coming to Texas. Don't know how it will affect the Texas Lotto, but I'm sure it won't be pretty.Orangeman... [ More ]

To Cash,If you consider the players that didn't win the MA lotteries lucky then the non-player are more lucky, because they didn't win and it costed them nothing. To Gary,If you are planning to wait until the jackpot size reach a certain amount, you have time to play both methods on paper and evaluate them before you actully play. A few years back, before I retired, some of my co-workers and I did the same thing quitely because some of them didn't want their wives to know how much we were spendi... [ More ]

congrats on the win!If you could wheel the white balls for the powerball into about 50 lines ($2100), you could play each line with each powerball number...

My firend and I won 3000 bucks in the Mass Millions game. We want to buy PB or Big game depending on the jackpot size with this money. We can buy 2400 tickets for one draw or pick 2 days in which we want to play. We decided to play twice. But now we have an argument.I proposed to select 25 non-powerball numbers and generate a wheel of say 60 combinations and select 20 numbers for PB/Mega ball and play the 60x20 combinations for 2 days.My firend thinks that this is not a smart move. He wants to pl... [ More ]
