That is so true. I remember about the waitress story. that was in the news. She never did get that guy a pick-up either. She kept the whole thing for herself. That is why when I play with anyone else, I USE A CONTRACT! It is always better to work that way because if you are playing even among friends, the human condition of greed can get in the way.

That is really great. So many times you hear of promises being made and not being kept. I am delighted she got some money out of it.My two girlfriends at work collect the cans and bottles at work for superlotto tickets. Anytime, I play I am playing for the 3 of us. I have found this thread to be very, very entertaining. We had the first 100 million dollar PB lottery player come from Nashville,TN. This is what happened. A girl was coming to Oak Grove to buy her a couple of tickets for the PB. He gave her 2.00 and asked if she would get him 2 quick picks, too. She got the 2 quick picks and gave him his 2. I thought about the issue of what numbers people pick because it is a partial topic in the Monthly Lottery Newsletter that should be out tonight in the Newsletter Archives. I find it very interesting that people pick numbers out of a different context and project it into lottery, not as a system but apparently as a method to pick numbers.Good Luck

EverettSo far, I figure the lotto changed somewhere between Feb. 19 2000 and Oct 2000. The little newsletters I have , have numbers posted up to Feb19 for superlotto. The other date talks about superlottoplus. Now, he did say he played two sets of numbers and only gave the numbers for the winning set. So, your guess is as good as mine.

EverettYou know I wondered about that, too ( the ages). I think we changed to superlottoplus maybe 3 years ago , maybe a little more. They could have kept it as far as Iam concerned. CalscorpThat is an interesting story; my father always played the same numbers too (Did not live long enough to win unfortunately!) The numbers were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 49 (in Germany's 6/49 + Bonus Number Game). He probably would have been disappointed because he was surely not the only one playing these obvious numbers. Thanks for sharing, Ken. I think quite a few of us have done that. In fact, I have heard it quite a few times here lately on the other games. The people that always play the same number; maybe only spending a dollar. They are so afraid to miss playing it. And when something happens where they can't get there to play; sure enough it plays. I agree with hypersonig. When you look at the possible parameters of a lottery and the actual parameters of the drawings, the actual parameters are smaller. With a system, most players are recording and staying within the most popular and smaller parameters hoping to improve their odds for a win. I've never counted the possible combinations within the smaller parameters but if the combinations are reduced by 20%, the odds are still large. Very true. You can't win if you don't play. We have a man in town who has won the state lottery twice. Must be very lucky. He even gives his employees free quick picks. Of course, he is asking for a percentage in return. And I don't mind purchasing my tickets at is store for hopefuly a little extra luck. The best way to have a chance at beating (winning) the lottery is to buy a ticket. Some one always beat the lottery dventually or people would stop playing.
