			<description><![CDATA[<p>I can&#x27;t download anything either.  I keep getting nothing when I type in  all of those things from the microsoft directions.  However I am still working on this problem.  when I try to download, I get an error message that I have done something illegal and my computer shuts down.  If I can ever get back to where I was, I will try to install another browser. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi Donna,It would only affect programs that were installed after the date of the registry you went back to. (it may not affect them at all, it would depend on the registry keys the program dropped into the registry.) I would not continue until other options have been explored throughly. My field mainly deals with hardware. I am very limited on browser issues. Try this site here for some more options. They are very helpful. I did not have that prob before I downloaded 6.0..  the only reason I downloaded 6.0 was I was not able to get online anymore with bank. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>You can return your registry to a previous version by booting into dos mode (win98) and at the C prompt (C:\&#x3e;) type in  scanreg /restore  without the quotes. It will give you dates of previously saved (good) registries. You just choose one before the problem started, if it doesn&#x27;t work you could go through the method again and go back farther. (warning: you can lose newly installed program info this way). (if you open the browser, then click  Help  and then  About , it will give you the version). The last time I saw that problem on a PC, it ended up being a corrupt Java Virtual Machine in the browser and downloading the latest version fixed it.</p>]]></description>

Instead the window comes up but no address will show and it looks like my desktop becomes part of the web page.  I have already defragged my computer, I don&#x27;t know what else to do.
