When I speak of jackpots, I am referring to both the cash and annunity values. Believe it of not most players know the different between an annunity and cash value of a lottery jackpot, both amounts are post on each lottery website. BTWM, I'll get another shot Wednesday.RJOh

RJ:The Canadian 6/49 games have smaller jackpots because they are automatically lump sum. The British Columbia 6/49 has a $1 million top prize.

I never thought that Ohio was serious about changing the 649P game unless they could pay out even less and convince the players that it was an improvement. Ohio's 649 lottery format it a good one. There are 649 games in Canada that do well with smaller jackots and better payouts at lower levels. The only thing that might make it more attractive is a change in the payout at the lower level. Last year I matched 5, but the best I've done this year is match 3's for a few free plays and once matched 3+bonus for $5. Wednesday I matched 3 twice only because I made the tickets out wrong, but for $29M I got to try again. When the Megamillions jackpot gets a little bigger, I'll play it instead.RJOh

OhioSuperLottoPlus, a 6/49 +1 game in Ohio, jackpot in claiming at the same rate as Megamillions's jackpot, the multi-state game which is played in Ohio. If it payed better for the lower prizes, it might sell more tickets.RJOh
