MarkS:You wouldn't get any useful results with one routine that treated the 5 white balls and the one power/mega ball as the same random dvent because they are separate and unrelated (5/53 or 5/52 non-replacement + 1/2 or 1/52). Kind of like the pick 3 and pick 4, 3 or 4 separate machines... 3 or 4 separate dvents. A 6/whatever non-replacement drawing (no number can be drawn twice in the same dvent) can be treated as a single dvent.

While stumbling through the test_last_draw logic portion of the source code for the Coincidizer , I happened upon an oversight... I only have the P.A. stupid 6 data in sorted order (they way the state lists it on their website)... that's not truly representative of how the numbers come out. lowest isn't always drawn first. looks like the sorting subroutine can stay in place (same for cash 5... pending stupid 6 results)Basically any matches may or may not have anything to do with the results... Actually, If i understand Entropy correctly, the number of states in an entropic system is equal to the number of possible outcomes... therefore the powerball white balls have 2,939,677 states , or possible outcomes. This is why playing 2 tickets does NOT turn 1/2,939,677 into 1/1469838.5 because buying 2 tickets does not magically eliminate 1469838.5 other states . the ONLY way to reduce odds is in a game like the powerball that has 2 separate systems goin on (5/53 + 1/42) odds of predictin... Jazzy, let's see if I can explain this simply. I am not saying that people buy pick 3 tickets in every state. I am calculating the odds of you predicting winners. Let's take your 16 sept predictions. You picked 18 number sets for all states. 49 games per day x the 18 number sets = 882 picks. With that many picks the odds are high you will get 1 straight and several box hits.
