If you apply these to a wheel with 10000 tickets, you'll end with about 9000-10000 tickets too, so what?RJOh, you also say that a serious lotto player will use pencil and paper to reach any conclusions he wants. Why can't he just write a program to do so?

A good data management program will cost more than $100, but most lottery programs don't do a good job of managing or analyzing lottery data, so they are not worth a $100. Every lottery program I've ever tested did little more than show the history of the data. If you wanted to know more than the sums, ranges, gaps, combinations that had hit and etc., you had to get out paper and pencil and go to work.

BobP,I've seen many of these programs you say. Trust me on this, the only program I could say can possibly beat some odds is the freeware WinHunter program and I congratulate the programmer for his design. I think he is Andrew. Anyway, there are other programs as well not mentioned in the list (sold in Greece - no available websites) so I have a broaden opinion of features of lotto programs. My research starts back in 1995-6. Strangely enough, all these years no-one tried what I have in my mind.... [ More ]

I myself only participated in the trial for the first week. The results brought out two distinct issues.Random numbers out performed the user designed stacks in that test example. That the user designed stacks was only a small set of poss... [ More ]

Hmmmmm. I've calculated the odds as 1::120,526,770. Am I getting something wrong? Formula is ((53*52*51*50*49)/(1*2*3*4*5))*42 = 120526770. One-tenth of that number is 12052677 and the quoted number in my post is that number to the 10th power. Hitting it 10 times in a row would require you to beat the odds each time for 10 consecutive games. Once you've beaten the odds in the first game you face identical odds for the second and each following game.
