i live in the state with the least tax for winning (wa state with NO income tax) and have yet to buy a mega ticket. if powerball breaks 200 then i might drive down to oregon but they have a very high 9% tax with NO federal deduction. i think the highest is montana (also a powerball state) at 11% but if bustamonti wins in ca. im sure they can top 11%. i think new jersey is a powerball state also with no income tax but im not sure. i think it also has to do with 3rd party buyers. in wa state its i... [ More ]

I know for POWERBALL they purchase tickets from Delaware which don't tax the pwrball there, I found that out from playlot rep. which can save aleast 6% of your winnings which can go a long way..... so I don't mind 1% of 1million dollars equals 1,000.00 that great...... but can anyone tell me about view tix, what if you win how do you claim your Jackpot with the view tix print out of your printer....

ViewTix are $.60 per ticket played for each drawing. A resonable price but I still wouldnt buy tickets online for two reasons.1) Megamillions.com buys their tickets from a vendor in Maryland, a state with the highest state tax from all other states in Mega Millions (7.5%)2) Lets say if you do win the jackpot, technically megamillions.com (and playlot.com) and you are co-owners of the ticket. They take 1% of the winnings on the jackpot even after you have already payed them $1 for every number

powerfever,I have used PlayLot.com and received ViewTix images just fine. My advice is to hang in there: I have normally received my images by about 6:00 the day of the draw.

I ordered online Powerball tickets from Playlot.com from the link here. I still have not received the viewtix images despite e-mailing them about it. Has anyone used this service before and how long did it take for you to receive the viewtix images. This is disconcerting because the draw is today. I hope I have not been scammed.
