Luckycat...listen...at the Fireman's Bash all prizes are given away. If an unsold number is pulled, it is thrown out and another number is pulled. The others that I have are just like the lottery...your number has to hit to win.

I won a gun raffle a rifle 50 cal muzzleloader from a factory that burned down. It was a 250 dollar rifle. Ticket cost 20 bucks for charity. I ended up trading it for a shotgun since I was not into muzzleloaders. The gun is now worth a lot more then I got for it. So I would say depending on what type of gun it is or whether or not you need a gun/rifle. If that's your thing go for it you just might be the winner, or not.

I was just interested to see if anyone else enjoyed the gun raffles like I do....just making conversation like anyone else on here...I thought. Most of these lotteries are based on a state lottery drawing so I consider it related. Hey luckycat...what does my gambling have to do with feeding the poor? And I think you are miss-informed about hunger in America. I worked in the ghetto areas of suburban Washington DC and am very familiar with the poor. Trust me, I used to deliver free food to them on the fire truck....and while they may have been glad to get it...none of them where starving and most didn't need a free hand out. I don't know where you all come from but in my neck of the country (Chicago) a gun raffle is the LAST thing we need.Keep it in cash and let the winner spend the money on what he/she wants or needs most.

Hi luckycat...The odds are are the same as winning the lottery or better...same number of chances for the same money. Except the year long raffle is better...365 chances for $30.00. My buddy just won a nice .243 Savage, w/scope and case...thats the second gun he has won. He also won a flintlock.Another friend won a .308 Remington 7600 last year...and I bought him the ticket. dowser:that is what sounds so good/ they have a state license/ charity/ or clubs like eagles/ animal rights/what ever name/ can use this way of generating funds. in first look -it LOOKs good. bottom line NOT MANY WINNERS. especialy with only 1000 tickets to be sold// many times mark my warning. the so called 1000 tickets are NOT ALL SOLD.so now what are your odds of winning.???? you can buy your ticket for 30 dollars. Hi Todd: These Raffles are almost always long guns, lots of deer rifles with some .22s and shotguns mixed in. In fact there is only one hand gun on one ticket...it's a Kimber Custom II .45 auto.Hey luckycat...I figure it's still worth it. All these games have a State Lic. #. Maybe some won't get won on the 4 digit drawing. But with a 3 didgit drawing and 1000 tickets...all numbers are covered right? Someone will win every day.
