Hey all you could try to order NY Instant games from your state if its possible to do so :) . If you like the stratch games. I personally love the Mega Millions and NY lotto and Pic 3s, and Pic 5 over the stratch and wins now a days. Mentioned this on another line. Anyone play the new $2 Pa. Lucky Birthday. Look closely. That's way different for a scratch game. Better odds for $2 (less than 1 in 4--newer games keep getting higher) and a top prize of $100. I amend what I said. Scratch off's have better odds at smaller prizes, but there's a point where the higher end amount on a scratch ticket has worse odds than a draw ticket. Although that's not only the case. (e.g.-Pa's Win for Life scratch vs. Powerball

Generally Scratch Odds are posted, and yes, they are better than even the best on-line games overall, usually in general. Worst is 1 in 5, but best is 1 in 1; like apparently in Ohio, our $20 Christmas ticket guarantees at least $5 on every ticket. if you bought a roll of tickets say 100 tickets and the odds were 1 in 9 you would be lucky if you got your money back then again you might hit the top tier prize. They might print a million tickets with a fraction of that being paid out. I think that you have a better chance at high traffic lottery stores places that sell more tickets say than the local tavern or restaurant

in ohiodif games have dif odds/ some have advertised 1 in every 9but I bought 9/tickets and did not win anything, maybe it was the 8 people in front that won nothing and then maybe the 9th person won a big $5.00 and then I came along bought 9 tic and won $2.00 yes we won but did not get our original bucks back.there are many tickets in a spool/ and many winners/ but not all stores have a big winner.most wins are small, so if they advertise 1/7 yes but ask how much? if any.I also read somewh... Speaking of scratch off tickets.Saturday I bought 3 holiday dough tickets first 2 didn't have anything the next one had 5 $20 so I spent $3.00 and won $100.00 Not bad. Linda in Florida

Somebody is losing, because many states report that the scratch-off and pick3 games are their best money makers. Giving ever player a free play or part of the cost of the ticket back makes every player a winner and the state an even bigger winner.RJOh

I also really don't understand this idea of winning $2 off a $5 ticket. How exactly have you won if you are receiving back less than half the cost of the ticket?guess that's there standard way of saying you didn't loose the whole fiver.BTW i have purchased a top tier prize in Maryland's 3 Little Kitties scratch game 9,000.00 bucks it could just have easily went to the person in front of or behind me...

But the thing is that most people don't know the odds. I work at a lottery retailer, and I know they are required to post the odds for scratch-off games-- but it's not like they make great pains to update them every time a new ticket comes out.I feel like I, in good consicence, have to steer people away from this ticket because of such poor odds and direct them towards something with better odds.I also really don't understand this idea of winning $2 off a $5 ticket. If you play, you know the odds and you know the prize, that is as fair as it get. And don't forget those odds usually include the chance to win a free ticket which some think is another chance to lose and shouldn't count as a prize. Most scratch off tickets don't offer a really big prize anymore because players complained about tickets continuing to be sold after the main prize was won. The difference, though, is that you have to pay $5 to play this game. Plus, the top prize is only $10,000.Your chances of winning even $10,000 are one in 3.8 million .I just don't understand why anyone who knew the odds of this game would ever play it as compared to other much more favorable odds tickets.

Actually, those odds really aren't much different than other lottery games. The overall odds of winning any Mega Millions prize is 1 in 43 - worse than those scratch ticket odds.
