I suppose, how much I gave away would depend on the jackpot. After all, how much wealth does one man need ? A large win, and by large I mean $100M, I would keep maybe $10M. That would aford me a comfortable life style and help the family with most any thing they really needed. The rest would be given to those who I feel most in need. And it would be given anonymously. i agree that playing a set of numbers (or a number of sets if the jkpt is over a certain level) is basically all a person can do. choosing sets using whatever formula one desires and occasionally combining them with quick-picks seems to work well. beyond that...if and when one of those sets hits is beyond our control. but i always keep reminding myself (as basic as it sounds) that no matter what numbers might be on my ticket... all of the numbers are sitting in the drawing machine and all these

tried that, didn't work... I have the entire plan laid out for what to do if I ever win... it's the winning that escapes me. Selecting numbers and buying a ticket is all you can do (you can even skip selecting number with a QP). With the lottery, winning IS everything... who plays to lose? I think that if you want to help people in your life with winnings that that is your choice just like choosing to play the lottery is a choice. Large companies only have to donate a certain percentage of money to charity like 5%. So if you want to give your money away that you won go ahead.
