They also maintain a database of programs that carry spyware. Some of the big offenders...Ncase (interstital ad delivery)GAIN (or Gator, Bonzi buddy and zip-zilla are among the MANY freeware apps that install this)Kazaa... [ More ]

luckycat,Again, I know you only saw the problem on Lottery Post, but I assure you that it has nothing to do with Lottery Post. Maybe it looks for the words Jackpot and Games to do something.Spyware is a generic term, meaning some secret program that is installed on your computer without your knowledge. Just like those two programs you found on your PC.It is called spyware because the first way these programs were used was to secretly keep track of every site you visit (all your clicks) and... [ More ]

luckycat,Glad you got rid of the popups.Just to answer your question: there is nothing here on Lottery Post that caused your problem. This is probably one of the most harmless sites you'll visit, because there is no spyware of any kind, and very few ads.I do not know why you only seemed to notice a problem here. Perhaps it is because the spyware on your PC was designed to be triggered by certain words related to gambling (like lottery ).Most spyware is distributed through e-mail. Most people... [ More ]
