To Pick-4_Master:Thanks for your encouragement. Way back when I first began making noise about this situation in Indiana, you were the only person on this forum who took my concerns seriously, and I am grateful for your loyalty and support. I know that many times you were criticized for speaking in my defense and saying, What if he's right, and this really is happening? It took guts to stick to what turned out to be a very unpopular viewpoint, and I sincerely thank you for that. I am not being naive to anything however, it was just my own rationalizing (and notice I did say that I don't know about the daily pick3/4 games) that if the odds are already very very low for in regards to the 5 and 6 digit games then why a need to rig them?

no need to rig a system that already has incredible odds against you. there are hundreds of millions of combinations...would they really need to fix a game so no one hits? No they wouldnt. There's too much risk if they get caught like shutting down the state lottery which would cost them billions. Im not talking about the daily games but rather 5/6 digit games. Believe what you want but I think its nonsense and the state would lose more if they got caught.

I don't believe Government controlled Lotto's are rigged. The most important point for say a 6/49 Lotto is the equal opportunity of each number to be picked which determines the published odds. If a Computer picked the same number in this Lotto it is rejected and another choice is made. Distortions to do with the Computer Timer which I would be more concerned with really don't come into it because of the big time gaps between Draws. However, I can't say the same about your Pick3/4 which I tend to... [ More ]

Rigging the lottery could only benefit one party . . . the state. The more times the lotto turns over the higher the jackpot. The higher the jackpot, the more player interest and sales. The state rigs the lottery by making it harder to win. Texas has gone from a straight six ball 6-50 game to a bonus ball 5/44/44 since its inception in 1992 to make it harder to win.

I always find it funny when people think that lotteries are rigged. The very concept of any lottery is to produce many losers and very few winners, so there is no need to rig anything. Setting the odds of winning at 135,000,000 to 1 (in the case of megamillions) is all the rigging that's necessary.

No matter how well conceived, lotteries by design are imperfect and to some, suspicious by nature. However, in the reality of today's gaming environment and the grave consequences that could result from rigging (whether intentional or not), it is extremely unlikely that any current U.S. sponsored state lottery is fraudulent. The risks are just too great, and the punishment is extremely severe. A felony at a minimum, and the abolishment of the that specific lotto at a maximum.

also, it's very easy to rig the powerball drawing. rigging the powerball drawing would explain the rollovers and the huge jackpots. same goes for mega millions, except it would be much easier to fix a powerball drawing. just put add weight in the balls that you want to win. they will sink to the bottom of the machine quicker, and get lifted up faster. i wouldn't be surprised if some lotteries admit that they fixed a few drawings in the near future.

i think that RNGs are fixed. you ever wonder why a triple has never hit in PA. this also brings me back to my argument as to why the power play wheel, as well as the wheels used in the Massachusetts numbers game are not always random. the placement will affect the outcome of the drawing. also, lotteries select the placement of the ball placement in the drawing machine, and that will also affect the outcome of the drawings. there is no such thing as a completely random drawing. there will a... [ More ]

That board was not as random as it appeared, and he was able to figure it out. What happened... [ More ]
