It sounds like Maine needs to get with the times and offer the powerball to its lottery customers because I bet they have a lot of unhappy players that have to play their state lottery. Their missing out on the big jackpots of Powerball.

weshar:Maine has had a lottery for many years...in fact, they _were_ a MUSL member (remember Lotto*America?) but dropped out when PB started in 1992. However, their Governor strongly opposes PB.

If they already have a lottery it shouldn't be long before powerball is in Maine probably by 2005 if the state gets their legislature going on the bill to pass the multi-state game.

With Mega Millions reaching $100m (no jackpot winner since before Texas joined), Maine runs the only US lottery which has yet to offer a $100m prize.
