There have been (if not still are) at least one game in Canada with an Early Bird drawing for tickets sold at least two days before the weekly regular drawing.

From a probability perspective, it does not matter what day a ticket is purchased. There is no connection between the ticket purchase and the draw.The reason why many of the jackpot winners bought their ticket on the day of the draw is because more tickets are sold on that day than on any of the previous days. Therefore, since there are more tickets, there is a better chance that one of them wins.Good luck,Jake

When buying PowerBall, I don't have to think about it since PowerBall isn't sold in Ohio. Any time I'm in Indiana or Kentucky and the jackpot is $100M+ is a good time to buy PB ticketsRJOh

Personaly I don't think it really matters when or where you buy your tickets. Why should it? It has nothing to do with the draw or the way the balls are drawn. If you feel lucky buying your tickets at a certain time, then go for it. It's all a matter of If it's your time it will happen.Personally, I buy my tickets on the afternoon of the drawing. to date, my luckiest ticket was bought on a friday around noon with advance draws thru the following wed.i've been continuing that timetable for PB tickets ever since
