Play Both because the numbers can come like this as an example (3 hot and 2 cold),(2 hot and 3 cold) or (4 hot and 1 cold).

in your opinion is it best to play hot or cold numbers for this game?what constitutes a hot or cold number? ie. should a number be cold because it most frequently appeared in the last 8draws or because it appearred most in the last 50 draws? is time important? ... same applies for cold numbersbtw thanks a lot johnph77

I have no other alternative other than to play that game! .... so any suggestions on any methods that I can use? any systems you try to use?btw ... 1 ticket costs 50cents and if you get 3 numbers you get around 10 pounds, if you get 4 numbers you get 250 pounds and the jackpot for all 5 numbers is 80,000 pounds. so will you help in winning at least with 3 numbers

Those are HORRIBLE odds they really don't want anyone to win because a 42 number game in the US would be a Pick-6 game not a Pick-5.The most numbers for a Pick-5 here is 5/39 the smallest 5/30 I live in FL we have a 5/36 which is okay I wouldn't play that game if I were you.

That's a high odds game for Pick-5, they aren't doing you any favor offering that game. If there aren't any games available with better odds, then you are stuck playing a high odds game. Consider using a five by five grid, put 25 numbers on the grid half from numbers that are being drawn, and half from numbers that haven't been drawn yet or are out the longest since their last draw.
