You're telling me, Four4me! They weren't friends...he was just a good kid working a part-time gig and said he never even checked the numbers! Probably just the person who should be playing every day...lol

Very lucky indeed where most people play once you turn in the ticked you didn't want and get a replacement ticket the retailer either cancels it or keeps it for themselves. And you are not even considered in the winning of a ticket you didn't want in the first place. That was very nice of the ticket seller to do that many of them wouldn't have. They must have been good buddies or the ticket seller is an extremely nice person

My best friend was handed a ticket with the wrong number. She checked her tickets before leaving the counter and reconized the clerk keyed the wrong number. She gave the ticket back and requested the correct number. Long story short - THE TICKET SHE REFUSED HAD THE WINNING NUMBER STRAIGHT! She called the convenience store where she played (and always plays) and spoke to the clerk. She told him the winning number was on the ticket she refused and that it was worth $500. Keep the ticket and if it was a mistake boxed ticket buy a straight with the same number or vice versa. What's a buck anyway soda cost's a buck? If the person repeatedly gives you wrong tickets everytime you go there find another retailer. I'v won sometimes on mistake tickets i never turn them down especially after hearing what has happened to other people who gave the ticket back. The agent kept it and cashed it in for the loot.

Hi Dollie,Twice I turned down a hit by not taking that wrong ticket. I once asked for a number when I first starting playing , it was 1022 and the agent gave me 1023, and said no I want 1022. Guess what 1023 came out. It was being discussed on another thread it Happened ! I was given the wrong number (124), I wanted 174....
