My state(Louisiana) doesn't offer Lotto on Sunday. Lotto drawings here are Saturday and Wednesday. I go to a convenience store to get a newspaper every Sunday morning and usually buy my Lotto tickets then. Before the Powerball game show went away, I was also buying my scratch tickets for that on Sunday mornings and mailing the entries in during the week.I've stopped buying Powerball tickets and am instead playing Louisiana Lotto. I usually always purchase my advance draw lotto tickets on either Sunday or Monday evening. The grocery store I go to is almost deserted late in the day on Sunday and it's a very relaxing time to get my tickets at the customer service counter.

Point quite taken devout lady but i really donot see any difference playing the lotto on any day. Even though sunday is respected as a Holy day what do you think about Saturday and the adventist. So what i say to you all guys there is a subconcious thing called conscience if it pricks you holla and donot play on your religious sabbath be it sunday monday tuesday etc.

if i choose to play, i'll play on only tuesdays, wednesdays, fridays, or saturdays. those are the days of the week in which i have had better luck, so i figure that if i don't have good luck on sunday, monday, or thursday, it isn't worth playing.

IL has the pick-3 and -4 on Sunday evenings...no midday draw. So usually I'll play 1.00 straight on my pick 3's since it's only the one drawing.I think I've only won once on a Sun. and that's because in IL it seems that Sun.'s are a doubles day in IL and I usually don't play them.Interesting post and responses.

Only if I'm in the store, which I probably am. No reason not to. Only draw game, as others in Pa. mentioned is Cash 5. If there's a big rollover ($400,000 or more) I definitely try to make a special trip, or at least an excuse to go to the store. And yes, a scratch ticket out of the machine, if I have any spare (dollar) change.

I play pretty much every day where there are jackpots over $20 million. I live at the border of PA and NJ and can pick Powerball or Megamillion. Right now NJ has a 27.5 million jackpot but that's rare.PA used to have large jackpots, with Super 6 and Key ball but have replaced their game with the nearly useless Match 6 which I never play. I know what the 666 is supposed to represent, etc., however thought I might pitch this in....doesnt pertain to the lottery...but does the 666. Saw a show recently on television on History Channel or one similar to it....that says there is evident to disput that being the number. They said it could possibly be 616.

Texas doesnt have Sunday play....was one of the holdout states for anything done on Sunday except day of rest and church. Took long time just to get the Lottery voted in here so dont see them going to Sunday play anytime soon.

We live a few miles from Covington Kentucky and Newport so if i've had a good week in ohio we swing over to kentucky and play what has fallen here in ohio for the week and try our luck...haven't done anything to write home about though...

If I remember correctly for the first few years the Pennsylvania Lottery did'nt have any drawings on Sundays. That changed when the Daily and Big 4 was expanded to seven days a week.Looking at the payout stats it seens less people play on weekends. The Pa Cash 5 rolls over a lot more on weekends than weekdays.I play the lottery on Sundays, but never do any outside yard work. Go figure. I guess out of respect of my neighbors.Chas

BobP, I probably wouldn't play because I seldom play the pick3 or pick4 games and I live in the center of the State so I live at lease 100 miles from any state line. I use to drive to Michigan to get BigGame tickets when it was $80M+ before MegaMillions came to Ohio and I may drive to Indiana to get some PowerBall tickets this Saturday or maybe Sunday if it over $100M. (I would buy tickets on Sunday,even though the drawing is Wednesday) RJOh

I feel funny about playing on Sunday and rarely do so. When I have played on Sunday I don't seem to do as well. Was wondering if anyone else feels odd playing on certain days. BobP
