Well I do like to bet on the horses and dogs. You do not win as much as you do with lottery but at least I have a little jiggle in my pocket. Sat is opening day at Delaware Park!!! I have learned some interesting think with betting the horses and it pays OFF.

Lotto Czar, I'm like you as to preferring the lottery....but after following the ponies for 20 years, then turning to the lottery for the last 5 years, I am firmly convinced it's easier to win on the ponies if you apply your lottery knowledge (randomness, skip/hit, overdue, hot, etc.) to the sport because of the overwhelming inherent biases in horse racing as compared to ping pong balls.That is, a horse from the number 1 post will win way more often than a number 9 post; but in the lottery, the... Qualifying statement: The race tracks we go to (Delaware park and Charlestown, WV) have slots. And lottery. And in WVA bar keno. I spend lots of money. but none on horses.(Actually about $300 per trip, which is 3 to 4 times per year.) Yeah, you just said race track. I assume you mean horses (or dogs) or whatever. I stick to lottery in all its forms. (Don't forget--slot machines are known as video lottery when the State runs them).

MrSteel, I don't go to the track too often, but when I do, I'm OK with betting in the $50-$60 range and I only bet opportunities that are going to cover my day's betting if I win.If I lose more than $60 at the track, I've found that it's very difficult to drive home through the tears clouding my vision...lol
