In the past, before NJ had MM and (more recently) before PA got powerball, I would, when travelling to MM and PB states, and buy long term advance play tickets. Generally you can get them for months at a time.

thanks for the info on va.But is there anyway I can be anonymous if I buy a season ticket. You see, if I win the jackpot, they will have my details and would make it public. If I win, I have always hoped to go through a lawyer and create a trust for myself and remain anonymous. Is there any way I can create a trust before hand and fill in the season ticket forms with the trust name? Or do they require my personal name? thanksMP

Actually, Virginia doesn't care where you live for the Season Tickets subscription program for Lotto South and Mega Millions....however, you have to provide a valid Virginia mailing address for all communications and winnings to be sent to, as it is against USPS regulations to mail a lottery ticket across state lines.I know of several players who have subscriptions and live in MD, DC, or WV, but have a mailing address in VA who do this. (They use a relative's address or a work address.) So,... [ More ]
