Blackapple = have you check with http://www.symantec.com yet to see what they recommend for repair? Dont know what virus software you may be running, however, most have a quarantine area that can trap the virus for safety. Most virus' are a pain and nuisance then anything and replicate email without your knowledge everytime you come online.

There is a virus going aroung againthat some lovely computer geekis using to crash the computers--I forgot the name of it,but I had to get mycomputer back to the beginning stage also, which is a pain.Please be careful of IM's like yahoo or MSN, Excite Chats.Will keep you posted if I get the name from my computer tech.
