This rates higher than any with 2 Hits in it over 100.Surprised?PowerBall is the one area where my system and someone working with numbers overlap. Never seen it much referred to on this forum but a quite common approach in Probability books. There is no such thing as Hot for say a 45 Power Ball because if you rank them in terms of Hits the first Signature with 2 Hits in is at about 100. However, you're right in saying say the top 2 (marginally) are H1M99+ and M2H1M97+ but within your top 10 only about 3 are... [ More ]

Sorry, I'm in Florida no PowerBall just straight up honest lotto games and that darn Mega Money turkey they keep shoving at us. The only program I've seen that even attempts this type of combination breakdown is Windows Lotto Pro and I can't agree with the setting restrictions and they seem to think one draw in ten makes a number hot.

Once again I'm in agreement with BobP. I know this discussion is regarding the powerball game, which I don't currently play, the odds are just too long for me, I stick to mainly my state lottery game-Cashball, 5 numbers 1-33. Playing the dead numbers should depend on the type of game in which you are in, the largest your number size, such as in Powerball, the greater the chance that your cold number could stay that way. Just out of curiosity BobP, would you happen to have any idea about the... [ More ]

And I second Kycruncher and would add there is a difference between cold and dead numbers. If a substantial number of winning combinations contain some cold numbers, then we need to review the frequency chart and see where they are coming from. In this case a longest out since last hit chart can be useful. I find there is always some number that stays out about fifty draws and another out about thirty draws waiting to take it's place. These guys are the ones you want to cross off your list... [ More ]

I would second BobP's recommendations, but I would further say that a frequency table may be useful for someone that actually knows how to use it. You would rarely ever see all hot or hot and cold #'s only be winners, you would be much better served by mixing those #'s in the normal frequency range with one or two hotter numbers. In the jackpot games I would stay away from the cold numbers, they may stay that way for some time. Using only a high frequency list of numbers would only be useful... [ More ]

It is very rare for a winning combination to contain all hot numbers. If for each draw you work out the hot numbers and check the next draw, you will usually find they supply zero, one or two of the winning numbers, but NOT ALL!!!It is also rare for all the winning numbers to be cold or even hot + cold as the average numbers are the largest group often supplying about half the winning numbers per draw. The lottery loves to post the frequency chart because it boost sales without helping... [ More ]

White ball and Powerball numbers have a different frequency of rolling over. Statistics are posted on the Multi State Lottery Association websites. Pick the numbers which have the highest frequency. Similar to a slot machine, the higher frequency rollover number will have higher odds of matching. How long can you afford to stay in the game is the question? The key to staying in the game is like playing bingo. Bingo player prefer playing with multiple cards to increase their odds. Well, it can b... [ More ]
