I can just imagine the look on those people's faces when they saw they had the winning numbers and thought they had won something significant only to come to realize you didn't even win $500. That will learn 'em to play such an overplayed set of numbers. Not very smart.

RJOh, In your original post you did use the Megaball. It's like a comparison between apples and oranges. While you have'nt come right out and said it, you seem to stangely want to give the impression that you can play muliple number combinations in a pick 5 game and be the only winner. there are a whole bunch of psychological numbers to avoid to avoid such a situation...1. skip consecutives (starting from any number ,not just 1-2-3-4-5)2. Skip multiples (example... 07-14-21-28-35)3. skip same last digit numbers (example... 07-17-27-37-47 << applicable to big matrix games like PB or MM) )4. They are not winners. They are just plain stupid.In the case of the Pa Cash 5 with odds of 575,757 to one, if I hit a jackpot, I want a jackpot, not money for a one month car payment. I never play multiple and consecutive numbers for this very reason.Chas

That would be much better. No rules like that in Texas. Paramutual for 3 to 5 correct numbers. Doubt they would be interested in changing either. Seems they are up nights trying to squeeze us out of our bucks.

I've alway heard that a lot of people play lottery combinations of the first 5 or 6 numbers that are multiple of 1-5. That kind of results prove that it true. I think a similar thing happen a few years ago in California.RJOh

I just checked the Texas lottery website (ww.txlottery.org) and noticed last nights Cash5 numbers were 2-4-6-8-10. There were 88 winners. They each won a whopping $459.00....
