The Mafia realizing that this was a great way to make money actually took over the games by force, lowered the payouts to 6 or 7 hundred to one (you should get a thousand to one) an took it outside the ghetto. For example the new IL Little Lotto lottery pays you 10.00 for getting 3 out of 5 and yet the odds are 103 to one of doing so. The payoff should be in the $50 range based on the odds and the 50% takeout. Look at the back of your bet slips for the odds to payoff ratio.Pick3/4 is the most profitable, the jackpot games ar... [ More ]

The real money in the pick three game is to be able to pick the straight hits for the money. Pick them often and play responsibly and you may come out ahead. There has not been to much posted on how to pick them for straight hits. That is one reason why you see a lot of triple hunters. Only one way for them to hit. The pick 4 game pays $5,000.00 for a dollar straight and anyone who picks and plays straight with wins on a regular basis can do well in the four game.
