i think the mega millions/biggame will get way over 300 million . i would love to see one of the jackpots get up to about 500million to 1 billion,i would just love to see how crazy everyone would go buying tickets,it would be really insane.i would buy a ticket,if i could,i wouldnt buy more than 5 draws(i'm cheap). everyone keep youre fingers crossed that one of them will dventually get up that high.imagine what you could do with all that money.as long as we buy tickets the higher the jackpots g... The Big Game which became Mega Millions in May 2002 made headlines in May of 2000 when it offered the largest jackpot - $363 million - in North American history. Keep in mind that The Big Game offer that size jackpot with ~1:80M odds of winning which was a lot better than the present odds of Mega Millions or Power Ball. With more States playing the game, there will higher tickets sales but faster jackpot growth so a $300M+ jackpot can be expected sooner or later.RJOh

too many states in PB now... I would guess Mega will produce the next big one...do they put the brakes on rampant MM rollovers like the powerball does? if not, then I agree with todd... it has all the makings of a big run...

The Mega Millions jackpot did roll over tonight. It is now $210 million! http://www.illinoislottery.com/numbers.htm was the first website to post this. For some weird reason, The Illinois Lottery website is faster at posting MM payout information than the official Mega Millions website itself.

Yeah, I'd have to say within 1-2 years as well. Only three times in history has a Powerball or Mega Millions (back when it was known as The Big Game ) jackpot went above $300 million.

I voted one to two years because it would have to be a special run since we have more states in the powerball to break the record. I would hope it would happen this year but with the increase in more players I don't think it is going to happen for awhile.

I would give it at least a year. Granted Both games have seen $200 million+ jackpots in 2004, there are too many states and too big a population for the jackpot to be hit. The only way for either of those games to reach $300 million again is for so many states to join that the starting jackpot will have to be increased, and for huge rollovers to occur.
