The thing with Paypal (I hope) is you don't have to send your credit card number to a potential crook. The problem isn't simply not getting your merchandise, it's what a crook can do with all the info you must provide to pay by credit card to someone who doesn't have a business to risk by being a crook. If you're that worried about not getting the merchandise, ebay offers cheap insurance.I wouldn't buy anything whose promotion takes the form of spam simply because no legitimate business would... [ More ]

I agree Todd about the PayPal..............heard horror stories about it from some friends..........not just one but a few. I go with an actual credit card instead if I absolutely have to pay that way. I just bought an amp for my guitars on Ebay and the only other option besides PayPal was a money order. I sent the money order. It only takes a couple more days to get there in the mail. It is worth my peace of mind.

Colin,I would actually trust using a credit card more than PayPal. Once you send PayPal, the money is gone. With a credit card you can always issue a chargeback if the dealer rips you off (and doesn't deliver what's promised). Amex is better than Visa/MC for this (Diners Club is great also).

I receive my spam emails on an old computer which I don't bother too much about anti-spamming (but I never open attachments) and apart from the porn, the Viagra, the on line meds, the dating crowd, the refinancing ... etc there is recently a spate of very, very low cost Microsoft Programs which I understand are OEM and come with just a CD and serial number.I believe a lot of members use Microsoft Products so with savings of many hundreds of dollars should I or you be tempted? Someone, surely has... [ More ]
