I agree Colin...To a point, take online poker for instance, if you play, you can see without the help of a computer that the deal is not random, if you play enough hands that is,compared to a game of manually delt cards, the gulf is immense.But I reckon if the odds are right, who cares? Doc Digit

Let's say you have 49 different colored small marble sized balls and you stir these up in a random way. (Incidentally, the stirring if motor driven requires a program which requires a random selection for the timing of the motor direction durations.) Anyway, doing it manually between picks there is a point where spending say 3 minutes doing it is no different to spending half a day.Randomness is related to cryptography and for all intents and purposes it can be produced on a computer. You are right! Computers can't be random. They need to be told how to do something and those games that have computers that give us the the winning numbers have a algorithm in there. Just to master that algorithm would be the hard part. haha Brad

Hey Folks, Correct me if I'm wrong, that there is no true random pick from a computer, that we don't have the technology to do so. that the math to do it is to vast. that you could flip a coin X amount of times and be more random that the worlds super computers, Doc Digit
