I think dventually it will be found out if you won,someone will jsut have to sell someone then they will tell someone,soon everyone will come wanting to be youre best friend,or say they are related to you wanting money. so ,i say,keep youre current home/residence,but before you go claim youre money(make sure you win,of course.check,check and check again to make sure.). go into negotiations to buy a new place,make them sign a confidentiality thing,so they cant tell anyone. secretly move into it,w... I buy alot of my tickets out-of-town while I'm traveling, Hopefully, one of those numbers would be a winner for me. However, I wouldn't discard a local winning ticket. In either dvent I would go the BLIND TRUST route. And, I would never tell anyone except my wife that we won.

Thank god you can stay anonymous in New Zealand. I wouldnt even play a lottery that insist on throwing your face and name over every newspaper.Goes to show the lottery outfits dont really care about the winners they just want the free publicity at the cost of the winners privacy.

I know im a bit paranoid but here is my plan. Before i turned the ticket in i would gain 20-25lbs, dye my hair and other various things. I would also buy a ticket for the next drawing using the same numbers that i won with for security reasons. My girlfriend lives in england so i would spend the following six months living there. if you win big get your lawyer to do a blind trust. And he will establish a name for it or you create a name and be done with it unless you go around telling everybody you are the holder of the trust no one will ever know except you and the lawyer.

Well, there is sometimes a way around all this publicity. Of course, there are several states that will allow you to remain COMPLETELY anonymous and others you MIGHT be able to get away with a blind trust. Whomever signs the back of that ticket (it could be your attorney or some other entity) gives them permission to relased that name (NIT TRUST or John Jacobs, Attorney, etc) and the city and state of residence.
